Eastern Screech Owl

Yesterday was quite interesting as I was able to no only see but get a few shots of my first Eastern Screech Owl. I headed down to Cedar Beach shortly after 5 pm to see if  I could get any decent shots of either the sunset on the harbor or shore birds in the waning light. Unfortunately, I was a little late and missed my opportunities and decided to head home. As I made my way towards Cedar Dr., I noticed a small bird perched on top of a utility box. It was fairly dark at this point but the silhouette looked unusual so I stopped my truck and snapped a few shots. The bird had its back to me so I still couldn't make out what it was. I got out of the truck and walked a little closer hoping not to scare it away. I was lucky, the little owl payed no attention to me and I was able to get a few decent shots, although getting proper focus in the dark was very difficult.
